When bestselling fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss came for a reading at Central Library in downtown Indianapolis, August 14, he invited "...And Sewing Is Half the Battle!" along to discuss cosplay and fandom, including our winning photo contest entry.

Mark LaVier as Master Elodin After our brief presentation on the history of fan costuming and its role in fandom, Pat read from The Name of the Wind, as well as a few poems and a very brief teaser for the second novel in the trilogy, A Wise Man's Fear.

All in all, it was a fun evening.  We're looking forward to the next book's release!
