This set of entirely found-item costumes provided ample excuses for road trips and location photoshoots, including a private ranch, a treehouse, a suspension bridge, a replica of Stonehenge, and actual stone ruins!

Fun personal touches include the WWII-era flashlight, which belonged to Alena’s grandfather; a grenade (based on in-game design) made from a Little Tikes ball pit ball and a plastic butterknife; and the shoulder holster (originally made for Alena’s Riza Hawkeye) that holds a mobile phone behind the pistol.

Alena’s shirt was distressed with paint, coffee, dye, and chocolate sauce (we drove through Dairy Queen in the car on the way to the con).
